Hello! My name is Marine. I come from France and I am a regular home sewer. Not the best, not the worst either ;-) I learnt to sew by myself in 2007, when I was pregnant of my first baby. For that, I must thank the huge and reliable international sewing community which enabled me to learn from thousands of blog tutorials, each better than the other. I have always been very impressed by the quality of the blogs I was following. Some of you girls are really so impressive at creating clothes for your children, for you and decorating your houses!

The Supercut project started in early 2013. 

Our family moved to Italy (Bergamo, north Italy) in 2011. After some really good time looking after my two little ones, I felt it was time for me to get back to my professional life. The constraints of family life and the difficult Italian employment market, made this project quite impossible.

The idea of an online fabric and haberdashery started at the beginning of 2013 and quickly became the obvious choice: I saw that the Italian online fabrics and haberdashery market was, oddly enough, very poor... That's how I made up my own and very exciting professional project, which also allows me to look after my two kids!

And last but not least, I just love looking for and selling all these wonderful fabrics and notions!

I wanted to offer quality fabrics and notions created by the most fashioned brands and designers of the "hand-made with love" world: the beautiful fabrics from prestigious English Liberty of London, the chinese inspired style of French Petit pan, the happy universe of Linna Morata, the softness of France Duval-Stalla’s baptists and popelines, the originality of the dutch Kitsch Kitchen Mexican’s style, not forgetting the "oh-so-British touch" of notions tools of Merchant & Mills. To be stored at Supercut, scissors, threads and needles will need to show more quality than what they were just made for!

Oggi sono felice di presentarvi il mio sponsor in primo piano di questo mese: Supercut!

Andiamo a conoscere meglio la proprietaria, Marine, e cosa c'é dietro al suo meraviglioso negozio di tessuti e merceria. (A proposito, ci sono i saldi da lei!)

Ciao, mi chiamo Marine. Vengo dalla Francia e cucio a casa regolarmente. Non sono la migliore, ma nemmeno la peggiore ;-) Ho imparato a cucire da sola nel 2007, quando ero incinta del mio primo figlio. Per questo devo ringraziare tantissimo la community internazionale del cucito che mi ha permesso di imparare da migliaia di tutorial, un meglio dell'altro. Da sempre, sono impressionata dalla qualità dei blog che seguo. Alcune di voi sono veramente bravissime a creare abiti per i propri figli, o ad abbellire la propria casa!

Il progetto Supercut è partito all'inizio del 2013. 

La nostra famiglia di è trasferita in Italia, a Bergamo, nel 2011. Dopo un bellissimo periodo ad occuparmi dei miei bambini, ho sentito che era ora per me di tornare alla vita professionale. Gli obblighi della vita in famiglia e il difficile mercato lavorativo italiano hanno reso questo progetto quasi impossibile.

L'idea di un negozio online di tessuti e merceria mi è venuta all'inizio del 2013 ed è velocemente diventata la scelta più ovvia: ho visto che il mercato italiano online di tessuti e merceria era stranamente molto povero... E così ho messo su il mio progetto professionale, che mi permette anche di passare tempo con i miei due bambini! 

Ultimo ma non ultimo, amo davvero cercare e vendere questi bellissimi tessuti e materiali!

Volevo offrire tessuti e materiali di qualità, creati da brand alla moda e da designer con una filosofia del "fatto con amore": i bellissimi tessuti del prestigioso marchi inglese Liberty of London, lo stile di ispirazione cinese del francese Petit pan, l'universo felice di Linna Morata, la morbidezza delle battiste e dei poplin di France Duval-Stalla, l'originalità dell'olandese Kitsch Kitchen in stile messicano, senza dimenticare il tocco british degli strumenti Merchant&Mills.
