Padded camera pouch and sale at Keyka Lou

For the last week or so, I've been in a bit of a sewing funk. I guess the problem is the weather is cold and rainy while I have Spring and lightweight clothes in my head.

Anyway, I've noticed in the past that sewing accessories helps me getting out of a rut. Last week I took the time to make a camera pouch for my parents' camera. They have a bulky, old Canon camera that they use very rarely, but since they didn't have a pouch for it and I didn't have anything to do, now it has a nice new home.

I used the Padded camera pouch pattern by Keyka Lou and it turned out great. It's super padded and it looks very "professional". I've already written it before, but I swear by these patterns. If you want to try one, now it's the moment! They're all on sale until the end of April.

  2. I've been on an accessory-sewing spree lately; it's nice not to have to worry about fit or sizing -- just cut a bunch of rectangles and whip it together! Thanks for linking to Keyka Lou patterns -- I'd never been there before but I think I'd like to make some of these bags. And she lets you sell the items you make from them, too, which is great!

  4. That bag is so cute! I'm impressed that you still were able to sew something even though you weren't really in the sewing mood. Sometimes I feel like I don't get around to sewing on good days! Thanks for the link to the pattern site - oh so tempting to give one a try...

  5. I think I need one of these. Any camera I ever carry with me gets sadly knocked about in my purse. And I dislike the camera-store camera pouches pretty intensely.
